Need Help on Oxygen Sensor Reading - 97 Ford Explorer
My "Check Engine" light came on my 97 Explorer - 4.0L V6 SOHC 4x4.
Took to Service faclity and told reading is "02 Sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2".
Since information on Internet tells me my Explorer has a total of 4 sensors I'd like to know if this reading indicates only one or two sensors need to be replaced and which ones (what side of vehicle).
The Service Manager didn't give me the code number but quoted $100 for the part and about $150 or so for labor.
I'd prefer to buy and install myself. Please help.

do a search in this forum and you'll find plenty of info. there's even some web sites listed to help help read the codes. i did this after mine came on. by the way, autozone will read your codes for free.
Bank 2 sensor 2 is the sensor after the cat on the drivers side. The sensor might be bad or the cat could need replaced. Like goetzman mentioned, have autozone pull the code & post it here. And take a quick look at the wiring to make sure the heat from the cat hasnt damaged it.
