Question Warren Auto Locking Hubs

Whats up guys. Yet another question. I'm going to skip getting the OEM hubs for the truck and jump into some aftermarket ones for it. I'm thinking the Warren Standard Hubs. I've checked them out on a website and they look sweet as well as I'm told they are very good. My questions are: Who knows of some more websites i can find them at cause my searches aren't working for some reason. I would like to search around for the best price. 2nd question is I it says "Lock" and "Free" on the Hubs. What I'm looking for is a set that will work with my auto 4x4 in the truck. I know normally you only get 1 out of the 2 wheels kind of likea limited slip, but I don't want to have to get out of the truck in the winter time to slip it in if i'm only driving in a little snow. Does anyone know of them in an "Auto" and "Lock" combo?

This is the ones I saw, don't think it works with an auto setup (could be wrong)

Thanks again for all the help guys! This Forum is really great, You guys all help out alot!!!

call up your local ford or international dealer and find out what will work with what. i own a 96 and purchased warn hubs myself after the auto hubs crapped and im very pleased with them myself. if i were to guess i would say that the hubs on the truck stock are free or lock, they're simply there to allow 4 wheel drive to work if they dont automatically lock in but dont quote me im simply assuming as thats how i think it was explained to me. hope this helps

I have the Warn hubs you're talking about on my 65 Jeep Wagoneer. They are freewheeling until I engage the 4X4 then the torque in the axle locks the hub. They disengage when I let off the gas and release the axle torque so there is no 4x4 going downhill for hold back. For general driving on snow covered roads it doesn't matter. When I would take it off road I would manualy lock them and it was full time 4X4. Greatest hubs I've had but it's been awhile since I've seen them anywhere.. They are called Warn, Lock-o-matics. They have two positions on them, free & lock. These wouldn't work with any existing hub because everything you want in included in this one hub.

i am guessing you have a '99 or newer psd(auto, lock hubs) you factory automatic hubs are vacum operated. i do not know of any after market hubs that will work like the factory ones, so if you do not want to get out of the truck to lock in the hubs, than i think you have to go with the factory ones

Thanks for all the help guys. I e-mailed Warn and asked them what they thought. I swear i've heard of people using the auto after they went aftermarket, but I could be wrong. But thanks again
