What would be best for extreme off road a V10 F250 shortbed 4x4 or a PSD F250 short bed 4x4? Can you get 10 cylinders in a PSD?

The PSD weighs about 4000 pounds on the front axle and will go down like the Titanic in deep mud. The V-10 option is gas only.

I bog with a 7.3L and she makes the Titanic look like it floats. She'll sink so fast you'll be climbin out your window before you know it. Dont get discouraged about diesels I would never get rid of mine or stop boggin with it, but for more effective sand and mud the V10, for hard trail, towing, rocks, and nice sounding I will stand by my diesel. Good luck with your choice.

If you want extreme off-road,get a jeep! Use your SuperDuty to pull it around. Other than mud bogging pickups are too big anyway. After you break a few things doing hard core trails, you'll wish you could tow it home.

So big fat tires would not help much? Oh yea do PSD's come in 10 cylinders or 8 cylinders? People tell me if i do use it for offroad i should get a standard but an automatic would be easier and i could concentrate more on whats around me. What do you thiink auto. or standard?

PSD only come in 8's. i use big wide tires. i have a set of 44 18.5 16.5 they bog great. i have an manual becuase i feel i have better control over my speed and truck, but if you cant look around and drive standard at the same time then you might want to stick with an auto. my personal opinion is big tires and manual. good luck
