Question Bedmat suggestions

Since I can't decide if I want to get my bed Line-X'd or not, I'm thinking about picking up a bedmat. Ford dealer has 'em for $76.00, and Cabela's has a Penda bed mat for $69.99. Penda will probably end up a few bucks more than the OEM after shipping charges. Anybody have experience with either of these mats, or have another they would suggest? According to Cabela's, the Penda is almost 1/2" thick. i've got no idea about thickness of the Ford part.

zer0cool,
I have the OEM mat and like the way it looks and fits. Also there is a big F-150 in the middle and the rest of the mat matches the design on the top of the bumper. I have a couple of pics in my gallery, check them out.

NC Sean, thanks for the info. I checked out your gallery. How thick is the OEM mat? How much did you pay for yours, if you don't mind my asking?

It is a little less than 1/2 inch. It seems like I paid about $80.00 for it and also the guy at my dealership suggested that I have it sent on the truck with their other orders so I did'nt have to pay any shipping cost that way, it took a couple of days longer but I saved a few bucks.

One more question for those of you with the OEM mat. The one at Cabela's has a "nibbed" underside to allow enough air circulation to keep it dry. Does the Ford part have a similar underside?
soldGTO, Cabela's has a rubber tailgate mat for $29.99, I think. It's a universal fit, but supposedly will fit the new F-150 though.

Hi guys. I'm also working on whether to get a spray in or snap in bedliner. I found one that looks very promising: http://www.realtruck.com/products/californiadream.php The video demonstration is very impressive. The rubber bed mat is 5/8" thick which I think is the thickest one I've see. Looks good and says it's water proof. $300 for the Ford 6 1/2' bed. is reasonable for the quality of it.

Only reason I didn't consider the Bedrug is that I'll most likely have the bed Line-X'd at some point. The bed mat would be an inexpensive form of protection in the meantime and could be used for extra padding after the spray-in liner was applied.

if your getting it sprayed why bother? they are going to beat up the bed pretty bad to get the lineX stuff to stick. im sure as long as theres no huge dents it will look fine.

Johnnyboy04,
I bought the box at Lowe's for $197.00. It is a Kobalt brand.
