i am looking to convert my truck to ps. it is a three on the tree so it is gonna be tough, i think. i have searched and this is what i think i know. if i get the bendix box i could still use my column shifter. but if i get the ford box i can't. is this correct? and will all i need be pump, gearbox, hoses, pitman arm and brackets. or will i need something else? oh one more thing is how will in know the difference between the bendix and ford boxes? thanks in advance.

I have a 71 and its manuel. I picked up a gearbox from a 69 and it works, the problem is that your column will have to be adjusted by the 2 bolts underneath, all the way up which it makes you feel like its in your chest. The wheel will slightly be pointing to the left. Ive drove mine like that for 2 yrs and Ive finnally found an automatic ps column which im getting ready to put in and convert mine to auto.
