F Series guy with EB susp. question

Hi Guys, I'm normally in the '67-'72 F Series truck forum, but I have a question about the EB rear suspension set up. Today I saw a sweet EB in the parking lot at work and so I went over to check it out more. I was looking at the rear spring over set up. Specifically the "anti-spring wrap" bar. I know EB came from the factory with SOA set up, but this rig had a bar on each leaf that went from the front eye of the leaf straight back to the axle location and tied into the U bolts of the axle via a "johnny joint" (I think that is what they call it). It had kind of a snubber at the front eye location.

Anyway, I was wondering if this was a stock set up and if so how well it works? Does it affect flex at all? Thanks in advance for the education!

Not stock. I have a set and they seem to work great. I don't think they limit the flex at all.

James, thanks! I did not think they were stock, but looked like a great way to address wrap. So who makes them?

The traction bars i have, i think are made by superlift. broncograveyard.com sells them for both eb's and full size bronco/trucks.

I think james Duff in Washington has traction bars too. Go to www.jamesduff.com He's in Sequim.

Yeah that makes sense. I was thinking JD when I first saw them, but couldn't find it on his website. Maybe a closer look will uncover something. Thanks!
