Diablo Predator VS. SuperChip Microtuners

Hello,

I'm new to the group and I've browsed many of the threads....Here's my question..

I have a 2003 F250 7.3L 4 door long bed Diesel

4 inch Exhaust from turbo back

Boost and EGT Gauges

Now I want a computer. I primarily want it for towing. I have a 32 foot Fifth Wheel travel trailer and a 28 foot goose neck cattle trailer. We pull mostly in Texas but we make a trip each year up to Colorado and hit the high mountain passes for a couple of weeks.

I've been reading all the info I can get my hands on for the SuperChip and I just found out about the NEW and improved Diablo Predator programmer. The Diablo seems to do more but what are the good and bad points of both systems. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Curtis

The SCMT:
3 power settings
raises speed limiter
firms transmission, you cannot select the firmness
basic code reader (displays code numbers only)
if the dealer reflashes over your SCMT tune, you must send your tuner to Superchips to get it reset.
cannot be upgraded over the Internet
always works

The Predator:
5 power settings
raises speed limiter
firms transmission, you can also select the firmness yourself
very high tech code reader (code, text, plus live live sensor reading)
up to 30 minutes data logging at 90 samples per second
backlit screen
can reprogram performance tune or restore stock tune even if dealer reflashes the ECU
Port which will allows download of updates and customized programs
A few rare instances of it not working well on some trucks.

Gas tuners don't require exhausts. Only diesel tuners do.

Right now there is no Predator for the V10. There is a Superchips Microtuner which we carry that works for it.
