The right side of my 92 f350's dash is broke were it mounts by the passenger side kick panel. The plastic ear broke off were the bolt goes through and the whole dash is flopping on rough roads. Its hell on the cd player. I tried to fix the plastic with JB weld and it held for about a year and then broke again. A friend of mine who works at a Ford dealership in MT, said that Ford made a kit to fix this problem. The Ford place here in MS said they don't know of any kit to fix the dash. So my questions are, does this happen often on the 92-98 super duties, is there a kit from Ford to fix this problem, and if not, what are others doing to fix this themselves?
Thanks..........
Thanks for the kit part number. That's what I was looking for. I'll see what is in the Ford kit. If it's nothing but a bracket, I'll make it myself also. I was just concerned about the lack of room when the plastic kick panel cover is put back in place. Thanks for the quick info.........

Three and a half months later I finally got around to installing the fix for my dash. Dealership didn't know what I was talking about until I gave them that part number you gave me. Then, like magic, it appeared on they're computer screen. I think it cost about 26 bucks. The bracket, three rivets, and instruction sheet. I installed it today. Nothing hard about it, just time consuming. You have to take a lot of stuff loose.
Thanks.............
I ended up making my own bracket out of a 1/8 thick piece of steel, I just heated and put a bend and a twist in it, and bolted it up. I did that repair about 3 months ago, still holding strong. Fred
