I have my system installed in my 2000 extra cab F-150.
My question is how would you secure the sub box I have from super crew that hold to 10's. How would I secure it to the floor and keep it looking good. The way it is, if I turn it up to loud, it reverbs because the box viberates so bad. Can you people help?
Is there any way you could mount it using the seat mounts? Any kind of a bracket you could attach to the box and then slip under the seat mounts? Other than drilling new holes through the floor, I can't think of anything else.
Just make sure you put some kind of sealant on those bolts. I took the seats out of my Mustang one time to clean the carpet, and didn't seal the bolts. Well, everytime it rained I'd get a wet spot on the carpet around the bolts.
if you don't want to bolt it thorugh your floor so you don't have holes in that floor of a newer truck. Go to like a fabrics store and get some good velcro they use on clothes and stuff. It is really sticky and will hold your sub box. I have done this b4, worked great, plus can be removed easily. it really gives it a strong hold
