Egr

Sorry to post more than one topic, but I thought it'd be simpler to have seperate subjects.

I ripped off all my vaccuum stuff, I left the brake booster, a/c canister, and tranny. I plugged every other manifold source. I then hooked my advance up to the port under the choke, was that the right one to use? there were two more on the rear of the carb, what are they for?

Any way, do I need to adjust the carb (like idle mixture, etc.) since the egr isn't hooked up anymore? Don't know if it was working or not.


Wow it just occured to me while writing this, could my dieseling problem be from the egr not working, so it's running too lean?

The EGR shouldn't be functioning at idle. You could probably go up a jet and reset the idle. check timing/idle speed.

Removing the EGR will necessitate re-calibrating the distributor advance.
