Nope,as far as I can tell,it's not using any oil. There's no oil in the antifreeze if that's what you're suggesting. It's just pure antifreeze.I haven't tested it to see how good it was though with one of those antifreeze testers.I'm just going to flush it tomorrow and see what happens. There's a local radiator shop in town,so getting it dipped,(if the need arises),won't be a problem.
I don't believe that I'll have to replace my head gasket.I'm not losing any water or oil,so that should solve that problem, right?
the proper cap for your truck (and mine, same motor) is a 13 lb cap, when i put my new radiator in i put a new cap on just for caution (they only cost like 5 bucks). when you drain the anti-freeze out of your radiator i really strongly suggest replacing the lower radiator hose, first of all if you have a clog it could be in that hose since it is the lowest point. Also this way you know the hose won't crap out on you after you flushed and replaced all the anti freeze. also just so you know you dont' really get all of the old coolant out until you remove the lower hose.

Thanks bigbrown.I'll probably get new radiator hoses while I'm at it.I'm not for sure yet though.I'm the type that doesn't fix what ain't broke 99.8% of the time .
