Can't locate noise, Help !
I've recently noticed a grinding / rattling noise. It seems to be coming from inside the Oil Pan area. I'm going to pull the pan and look things over...
It happens when the truck is stopped or in motion. Doesn't seem to matter what gear. I lay underneath and it really seemed to be coming from the oil pan area. What could it be ? I've got good oil pressure. And plenty of oil.
P.S. I did the headlight upgrade (Relays for Hi/Low) Worked well but I also noticed a major improvement in brightness when I installed new lamp sockets. I guess the contacts (Female side) were worn and corroded. I did clean the male, but replacing the socket really helped with brightness and stability. And the sockets were cheap...
