The rear de-froster is a touchy one. However, Ancient Chinese Secret- Amonia in a spray bottle, spray it on the glue after you remove the tint. Use a green rough scrub pad, and the glue will just come off, I have always used a flat edge razor, but never had a defroster. It will save you money by removing it yourself.

wow,I really don't think it costs that much more to have them remove the old tiint prior,but maybe that's because they do it so much here after people get tickets.all I can say is no tape was harmed in the removal of the tint here.

THANX gumby and al, ill check into a window tinting shop see the costs of both, if i do it or them . I know sum places want the $$ and will charge the $$$$$$$ out of you TR

I can recommend a good shop in the DFW area if anyone needs it. You gotta be careful who does your tint... I've had to have mine redone, even after being done by a 'major' chain. Heh, my history with vehicles has given my the opportunity to find a decent shop around here for just about everything.
