2005 Esape Engine noise?

2005 Esape Engine noise?
I recently purchased a new 2005 Excape XLT FWD. After about 2 weeks, I noticed a high-pitched whistling type of noise that seems to be coming from the engine area when driving at or above 65mph. The dealer mentioned that this is an abnormal noise, and are checking into it; but haven't figured out what the problem is yet. Any ideas?

That happened to me after I installed an OEM hood deflector. Turns out I inserted the tabs under the rubber hood gasket above the headlights instead of in the slot between the gasket and the hood. After I corrected that, the whistle went away. Well, actually the wife stopped complaining about it, as I have high-frequency hearing loss and it didn't bother me.

Hey Mikey2002, you still out there? My Brother-in-law just bought a new '05 Escape XLT. His wife called me today and said the same thing. She said it only happens when the accelerator is depressed. She asked me if I knew what was wrong. Of course I don't. Any luck with yours? (since...MAY?) Anybody else want to tackle this?
