i have a 4x4 '94 F-150 . i was wondering would 31X10.5 all terrain tires fit under it with out needing a lift? the back is fine for sure but the front looks tight because the axle seems to be set alittle forward in then wheel welland nto centered on both sides. let me know wut u think
as long as we're talkin about tires and stuff. wut would be a good buy for all terrain tires that do good all around(on pavement and offroad) and look cool?
I run 32x11.5x15s on the stock 15x7 rims with no lift on a 92 f-150 4x4. They do rub on the radius arms a little if you turn the wheels where they would normally hit the steering stops anyway. But that doesn't bother me cause it's not good on the power steering pump to turn them that far anyway.
The all-terrain tires that I hear most people talking about are the BF Goodrich A/Ts. I hear they look good, get good traction off-road, and not very noisy on the highway.
I run M/Ts and they are pretty noisy on the highway, but I don't care cause I don't do that much highway driving.
I swear by Maxxis Mudders made by Buckshot.... cheaper on cost than the BFG Mud Terrain, and a very nice riding and handling tire..... quieter than the BFG M/T too!!. I have over 20,000 miles on my highway truck (1990 EB Bronco) on a set of them, and still have half the original tread left. Plus, the traction is amazing out of them, as they have a fairly aggressive tread pattern
i would go with a set of bfg A/T not M/T, my cousin had a 87 f-150 lifted with 35" bfg a/ts and they had just shy of 50,000 when they got to the wear bars, dosent sound to bad to me, and they do good in snow, ok in mud, and there quiet. although i personaly like a loud tire, but they seem like a good all around tire.
I run the BFG All Terrain KO's in 33x12.50 size and they are great! Very well behaved on the street and do good off-road as well in everything except mud. Air them down and they do good in sand too.
I just got rid of a set of Kuhmo Venture ats and they were good at first but they were terrible for anything other than the road. i went out last weekend when it was raining and I had no traction even on the road so I went and got a set of BFGoodrich All Terrains 31x10.50x15. I love them already. highly recommend them.
futura dakotas, from pep boys. 26,000 and over 1/2 left, quiet and tread pattern like the BFG's. under $100 each. made by cooper. I will buy them again!
I run , runway enduro a/t's i bought them at tire wharhouse for like 78 each, ther 31X10.5, there ok, but nothing like a BFG A/T, it seems like the cheap tires just dont raeally pay off, i have about 8,000 miles on mine, and there like 1/3 gone, they didnt tell me when i bought them they were a 20,000 mile tire i regret that now, but i also had cooper discover A/T's on my toyota, 25/75/r15's and ill never buy a cooper tire again, i have 22,000 on a 40,000 mile tire, with no abuse, and there all at the wear bars, so i cant say much positive about cooper, and those were 105 each.
