I have a 99 F250 SD with Powerstroke that needs a muffler. Any advantage to going to a smaller less restrictive muffler for better breathing? I have a K&N air filter. Any info appreciated.

Big difference in power, quicker turbo spool up. is a little loud when siting idleing at 1200 rpm I also dont have a cat either didnt come with one
I am looking into either a banks kit, or a dinomax cat back
my buddy has the banks and his truck isnt loud just ahs enough rumble to it
