My F-150 has idiot lights for the oil and amp. Every time im mean to it the oil light starts flickering at idle. I was wondering if it would affect the reading if i put a Y end on there so i could run the stock one and the aftermarket mecanical one. Also anybody know what PSI that oil light comes on at?? Thanks James.

Reason: spelled title wrong
I think the idiot light comes on at 4psi. You can put a 'T' in and run 2 guages or an idiot light and a guage. I've done it on my mustang. I'm running idiot lights and guages.
Thats what im thinking.. 4psi is really really low isnt it? B/c my other 78 F-250 carries 90lbs of oil pressure cold and around 80lbs warm. I also got a brand new oil pump in F-150, well about 2 weeks old. Still dont carry good pressure. I might try T'ing into it and just see how it works. Thanks James.
Well both trucks got 400s in them. And the F-150 has a new oil pump and the F-250s is about 4 years old. So why does it carry better then the F-150s? worn bearings on the F-150 i quess.
i put a new 400 in mine and it has really high oil pressure according to the gauge it is never below the half mark and when i step on it it goes up after the L on NORMAL
