Air Filters

Just wanted to start some gossip about what air filter do you guys think is the best. I use Fram and I think that their filters are good. Does anyone have an opinion on what they think is the best air filter that has the best preformance.

Are we talking stock replacement filters (and not filter kits)? I've owned one K&N stock replacement (size) and was very happy with it... any reusable filter is worth it from a cost standpoint since you don't have to keep buying filters every six months or so, plus, I could tell some improvement in Torque/HP (especially low end) (which is what we all want!) and maybe a little MPG... I've never had a kit or the new Fram Air Hog, but am in the market for a filter now and would like to hear yall's opinions!

I'm a K&N fan...I run a 14" round with a Summit racing filter top...if flows better, although from what I've read a re-usable performance filter like a K&N doesn't clean the air as good as a paper filter...but I'd rather have the performance than super clean air through a restrictive paper filter. Plus, once you buy a K&N, it is good for a million miles plus. The fact that they look good is an added bonus as well. If you're talking about a K&N drop in, you won't get the cosmetic benefit, but they will flow better than a Fram.

See my gallery for a pic of my filter.

I have a ram air using a k&n cone and love it,how ever,I find I need to clean and oil it much more often then they say to keep the performance up.I would disagree w/ k&n not cleaning as well as paper, most print articles seem to say the opposite.my .o2
