Asked before- got no response.92-96 Who has corected their speedo. I am running 39.5 on my 93 and 35s on my 95. Have Abbott ERA (ratio pulse correction computer box )which they want me to mount 6 inchs from speed sensor on rear axle.It is not watertight, I don't like that idea. ANY HELP OUT THERE. (ps iam a Ford tech- 27 years and losing(pulling out???) all my hair)
You might want to check with Superlift. http://www.superlift.com/
They have something called TruSpeed: Speed Sensor Calibrator.
I feel kinda fortunat that I have the little gear attatched to the speedo cable then slides into the transfer case. For when I change gears an/or tires, I will only have to change the gear to correct the speedo.
Sorry about that. I knew that there have been many threads about this very subject. I just had to just my little gear on the speedo cable yesterday, Since I had changed my gear ratio last month. My speedo was off about 4 1/2 mph.
But you might want to try checking out & reading these threads: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...hreadid=104045
I found calibration data for the 92-92 at www.broncodata.com/tech/speedcor.htm and also in the tech articles for this site (How to recalibrate the speedometer on 92-96 Ford F-series and Bronco). I used the FTE it took maybe 5 minutes after reading the information.
Thanks for your response.I know all about the programable speedo, did them many times under warranty for customers- still looking for someone who has installed an ERA(electronic ratio adapter) on a 92-96 F-150 or Bronco. We have installed on Mustangs, speed sensor on tailshaft, mount unit in console within 6 inches of sensor. Thanks again as last time I got no response.
