Hello all, just joind the forum. A little about my truck....it's a 98 Mazda B4000 4x4 with the 4.0, auto trans., extended cab. It has a 4" body lift and 33x12.50x15 tires. This is a really awsome truck. However, I would really like to beef it up. Here's what I've come up with so far:
2 Stage Diablo Delta chip W/
87 octane program
49-422-8 FV6 270HR-12
comp cam
Gibson Single 2 1/2inch Aluminized
Steel Cat Back Exhaust System
Now I need some headers, but can't for the life of me find any . Do any of you have any suggestions, or tips for getting the most out of this truck?
I like your ideas, might do an intake as well, do the chip last so they can program for all your mods. Can't help on the headers but I'm sure someone will be able to help.
the only reason I'm hesitant about the intake is because of riding in lake bottom mud, and very dusty/dirty trails. Could I build a box to fit around the filter to help out, or would it be useless. Any suggestions on which intake to go with?
You should be able to find headers if you for ask for a 98 Ford Ranger 4x4 4.0 w/ auto tranny. I believe they have the same engine...yours might even say Ford on it.
I know they make headers for my 91 Ford Explorer 4x4 4.0 w/ auto tranny...I don't see why you can't find any for yours.

Even better reason to upgrade to your intake, specially with re-usable air filter. You can clean it out as often a you like and it wont cost you much, not to mention the increase in proformance.
