Yes gtex there is a price, however if he plans to upgrade in the future it will work fine until the engine can use that extra airflow. The Edelbrock carb uses an air valve operated secondary system, it won't open until and unless the engine demands it. The price he will pay will be some adjustments to the carb. If it was a double pumper style carb it would not work well at all.

You are correct in the loss of grunt, but I doubt if it will be noticeable.

BTW I have a Holley 750 vac sec carb on my 428- the 650 double pumper was NOT enough carb so those reccommendations have to be taken with a grain of salt!!

Yeah but the 750 flows more gas the a 600cfm carb. So you can have too big of a carb on a 360 and it could cause it to run rich.
