I thought it would be lower in amperage also. When I purchased this one that I have this is the information I was given. I was told that the EB has more power options such as LLS and rear heat and air standard equipment. It also has an upgraded audio system which draws more power. They also have factory fog lamps and most have a factory tow pkg. All these options will draw much more power so it made perfect sense to me. I am an electrician and it makes perfect sense. I checked the current draw on my truck and it came out to the #'s stated above. It does draw alot but everything works fine with the alternator I have.
Well fellas, I put my truck into ford on tuesday, the 1st and it is saturday the 5th, it's still there and they don't know what is wrong with my expo, FORD doesn't know what is wrong with a FORD, wow! this is terrible.
You act surprised! There aren't too many competent dealers that actually know what they're doing! If the computer doesn't tell them what is wrong then they are lost. Most dealers don't have mechanics like in the old days..... now they have computer analists that don't know a spark plug from an exhaust system. I just hope they fix it for you and don,t make the problem worse! This is the exact reason I don't use dealerships! I'd rather buy a CD and fix the damn thing myself! Good luck.... it's probably something stupid!
