2004 engine idle tick

2004 engine idle tick
I just got a 2004 ranger w/ 4.0L about 2 weeks ago. When idleing there is a loud tick. It's slow enough that I think it's only coming from one cylinder. I'm thinking it's either lifter noise or an exhaust leak. What I'm wondering is has anyone else out there noticed this and if so, should I just deal with it or brave the stealer.

Most likely it's the timing chain tensioner or something like that. Common with the new SOHC 4.0's. Check in the sticky posts at the top of the forums, there may be info in there...
