Ok I have a 95 Powerstroke that I just got today. After looking under the hood, There is a 5 wire flat connector that is atatched to some sort of 5 terminal device that is connected to the passenger side valve cover. One of these wires is not in the connector, and it is taped off by itself. What does this connector do?
Thanks,
Rich
There should be 2 of these 5 wire flat connectors on each valve cover gasket. The wires are as follows: The center wire on each connector is a common for the injectors, the 2 wires on either side of the center wire are the feed for the injectors, for example the right front connector would feed the 1 and 3 injectors. And the outside wires are glow plug wires. The front glow plug wire on the R/B front connector would go to the #1 cylinder glow plug and the rear wire on the front connector would go to the #3 glow plug.
thanks for the info Joe. It is the connector on the passenger side (rear of the valve cover) and it is the rear most wire, that is pulled out of the connector and taped of with electrical tape. My guess would be if this wasn't connected properly, the engine would have developed some kinda stumble of some sort, but it seems to be fine.
Thank you for your time,
Rich
most of our psd's don't even use the glow plugs to start... and if i remember right.... international binder doesn't even put glow plugs on their version of this same engine

wytfut: I don't know if you use the glow plugs to start your Power Strokes or not but rest assured they are there if you need them. And all T444E International engines have them as well and always have.
