i have a 1974 ford f-100. it has edelbrock rpm heads, intake, forged speed-pro piston, eagle h-beam rods, and a demon 750 mech sec carb. i recently purchased a comp cam 262 xtreme energy cam for it. will this cam give me the tire shredding torque i'm looking for? it used to have a comp cam 280 magnum cam, it seemed to be more for top end then low. any questions or comments are welcome.

the old comp cam had 230 dur @ .050 and 530 lift. the xtreme cam has 218-22 and like 521 lift. it is advertised as smaller, but really isn't ! any tuning advice ? any help is glady welcome !
