converter unlocking
I got a 1990 351 E40d trans and anytime I click the right turn signal my converter unlocks and wont lock up again untill the signal is cancelled. Any thoughts? I am fixing to check for bad connections and grounds etc.

Sounds liks you have already got a good start. Wiring through the steering column can be a hassle and where it goes under the dash, there are some sharp edges so it is possible that something is shorting out. Good luck with that.

You could see it jump up a couple hundred rpm on the tach. I have a Mountaineer also and you could watch the tach drop when it locks in 3rd or 4th gear. On the Bronco any time you hit the brake the converter unlocks. If you hit it real light you can watch it on the tach.
