2.9 lit, needed parts and time, has not run in 2 years, wondering, is there any thing besides changing all the fluids I can do to prepair the engine to run, to prevent damage to the engine, before I start the engine again?
I though there might be a spray to go into the intake to lessen friction in the cylinders?
There may be others who will disagree with me, and I may be wrong, but if it were me, I would pull the plugs and fog the cylinders with somthing like WD40 first.
Advice given by others up to this point seems valid and good.

I've always heard a teaspoon of Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder. I don't know if that helps anymore than regular oil, but it worked for me. '75 Monte Carlo had been silent for 6 years.
A teaspoon of oil in the cylinders is good, a tablespoon will cause fluid lock up and blow a head gasket if you are lucky, bend a rod if you are not.
I have an old 12 volt fuel pump to remove fuel from the tank, while you are at it see if the fuel is really rusty or has water in it. In order to remove the fuel filter you will need a plumbers pipe strap tool or one of those overpriced strap tools from land of the giant job sucking sound.
