Lightbulb Yeah, they are almost the same...

Autolite's and Motorcraft's plugs are almost the same, but in my experience Motorcrafts have lasted longer and are better overall although I suppose some people can attest to the opposite... I use Splitfires in my Bronco right now and they seem to work just fine...

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BOSCH PLAT 4'Sthey will NOT improve performance i strongly recommend motorcrafts platinums that came OEM. all the hype about platinum 4 is false no better spark or multiple sparks occur. the spark will choose one path and only one path from the electrode so if you were told other wise your source is wrong (electricity is lazy). just some info for anyone thinking of performance gains its just not possible from a spark plug.. have a nice day.

I'm at 65k on my original plugs and still running strong. How many miles are you putting on your plugs before replacing them?.

Wink

I replace mine at 30,000 miles or every two years. I know that is sooner than you need too, but to me it's cheap insurance.

When I had my plugs, wires, and injectors changed, my PepBoys machanic stated that he only recommend Motorcraft Plat Plugs for my 98 Mountaineer. They did nt have any in stock. So walked next door to the Ford dealer and picked up a set. PB's didnt charged me labor for installing them.
