It takes big gears for 1/8 mile. I ran some 6:32's rear gears in my 66 Mustang. Loved the handy cap against hot cars

If you can find one of those race simulators you can input the data. Mine made 387 HP and 728 FT lb torque at the wheels. Look on my gallery for the graph.

The Motorplex is closed until July for renovation or I would be able to tell you.

Does anyone know if there is a trans controler with speed delimiter yet. I know the banks sys. controles shifts and bd make a speed delimiter @130mph but none that combine both!!!

Mine ran 126 at 3600 RPM on the dyno. The Predator kills the speed limiter.

fast f350: Did you run in 4wd all the way down the track? Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? Air Filter? 1.77 60 ft. is moving.

1.77 can probably ONLY be attained in these beast with 4x4...
otherwise you're doing what Bob did in 4x2 just spinning most of the way!
and you can try to switch it off mid track, but it probably won't go out of 4x4 until u let off... and who wants to do that in a drag race :-)

I tried both ways in mine and didn't notice a significant differance that couldn't be attributed to other factors...

Mine is a 4X2 and it is rock solid at 115. It feels more stable than my Mustang

my bronco tries to throw the right rear tire off the road when i let off in 4 dig. it has lockers 4.56s and 40s, but ive felt this in alot of 4x4s when driving in 4 dig. this is my major concern w/ taking my 9200lb 55,000 dollar truck up to 95mph in 4x4 just to slam the brakes and run it down the wall!

call me a weenie, but i just havent seen anything like it before.
i rode in a 90 mustang w/ a paxton and a bunch of mods, he ran mid 11s all day, i cant imagine that feeling in a truck!!! it is my understanding that some of these trucks r even faster than that? maybe not on this forum, but at these drags

Lockers will cause that.

Don't know about all the rest of the trucks in the world...
but my 6.0 was rock solid when I let off @ the end of a 4x4 WOT 1/8th mile...
Reaction 1.286 ( Disgusting !)
60 ft - 2.30
330 - 6.23
1/8 - 9.58 @ 73.29....

And I think with a little practice I can do better than this...
I now know that I didn't get the boost up enough to really launch properly...
it was quick, but not as quick as I've heard some do in these... like 1.7x 60 foot ...

Actually, it wasn't much different than what I do on the streets of DFW most of the time :-)
Someone I spoke to later commented about my driving in the left lane in the 1/8th with my elbow on the window edge and resting my head in my hand I was so relaxed !!!
