Yep to both. I would worry more about the cat than the airbox.

IT is illegal to remove the cat. I hear its ahealthy fine if you get caught. but you can go 4" cat back and 4" cat to turbo

you gotta check the filter and keep it clean .the air raid will allow more air to flow to the turbo

I also have heard (maybe someone can verify) that the 6.0 will not run without the CAT due to the placement of the sensor.

I was told that there is a sensor that trips on the '04 PSD when the CAT is removed.

No sensor other than it's a FEDERAL law you are breaking if you remove the cat...

and I'm just passing on the data presented by others (since I have my cat on with my turbo back exhaust) but some did dynos and 1.4's with and without cats, and if done properly showed VERY little difference with or without...

The cat has a HUGE centerline that can be little restriction if connected right...

The only reason I may believe the '04 is different is that Banks offers a resonator downpipe for the '03 only and not the '04. I should call them and ask why.

I called Banks and forget what I stated. They now make a downpipe for the '04 and they also stated that they were not aware of any issues of removing the CAT except being illegal. They, however, stated that this is not advised. (I think they have to say that)

on 2003 model year engines you must have a DP with a resonator or you will experience high pitched TURBO noise. The 2004 MY engines have a redesigned "quieter" Turbo.

I have straight exaust 4" from cat back {no muffler} and you can hear the turbo wind.but it is not that bad inside the cab , mabe 5 to 10 % loader. from the outside it sounds like a jet when you hit the peddle
