I ran one on a 01 F150, and it was a complete waste of money. Not only did it not give me any extra power, it made this god awful whine at certain rpm levels. It lasted all of two weeks on that truck before it became a fancy paperweight.

I have one. I've noticed no gains in any performance catagory. Live and learn I guess. Anytime someone buys a Ford truck, they should be forced to visit this site prior to being allowed to buy and performance enhancing gizmos.
I never expirenced the whine with the TBS, but I did with the K&N. Also no gains with the K&N, except an increase in dust in the intake tube. The K&N is now providing increased airflow for a dumpster.
