There are no dumb questions, only dumb people Seriously, I would also like to know being new to the Super Duty myself. And for that matter what does ICP stand for?
ICP sensor-located at the very front of the drivers side cylinder head, angled toward the fuel canister. it is threaded in to the cylinder heads cast fuel rail, and has 3 wires exiting from it.
PCM-left side of the drivers foot-well,behind the parking brake pedal to the far left of the under dash area. if you are going to remove the pcm there is a 10mm bolt under the hood, on the fire wall that has to be unscrewed first.
To add....they are 2 7mm screws inside the cab on the cover of the PCM. If you have had a chip in the truck, you can pull the cover back enough to gain access to the computer to insert the chip....if no chip has ever been installed, there will be a cover over the slot....you will need to remove the PCM and pull it apart to clean the rubberized sealer on the board off the connection.
The ICP controls the rail pressure for the injectors. (Very easy to find...as described above) Boxes like the Edge EZ and the new adjustable Bully Dog Module plug into the sensor. Usally boxes that use this sensor see the best overall fuel milage increase. More so then chips and tuners. From what i have seen here, about 1-3 MPG increases.
Love the PSD....but feel the Cummins is simpler in a lot of areas...when work is needed.....as for the truck.....I drive a Cummins, not a Dodge....tell you anything?!?!
