Gas Mileage

Iam getting around 15mpg with my 1992 Explorer, is this about about what everyone else is getting?

I get overall 20 in my 2000 w/ 70K, light foot.

The first generation Explorer is not known as a "good" fuel mileage vehicle. Just keep it in good tune, use correct engine oils, keep your tires at proper pressures and "baby" the pedal and you'll do OK. It's still a fun one to drive .............mike

I get anywhere from 16.5 to 19 depending directly on the right foot pressure. I guess the biggest thing is to leave early for where ever you need to go so you don't have to drive crazy to get there on time.

I get around 15 on my 92 Ex. Sometimes I get a little more, but I pretty much use 15 to plan fillups and such.

I get around 18-19 mpg on my 96 V6. It gets about 16 when pulling the boat.
