I have a 99 f-350 and i want to lower the back to be about level with the front. I am looking for some help on how it the simple way to do it and who sales the parts? also i would like to know if any one has ever used a diablosport chip?
Go to ford diesel.com, there is a test there that they did on diferent chips. The diabo has no results because the exhaust temp shot right to 1500 degrees(that is not a good thing). As for the ride hight you should be able to go to an offroad store or a parts house and buy a smaller lift block and shorter U bolts.
I had my 99 lowered by the dealer. This was for free when I explained that I needed to clear a 5th wheeler (lie). They removed the 4" blocks and replaced them with 2" (very important), they also had to change brake lines, shocks and bolts. It rides the same and I have had no problems. I hear that after the 99 model year this "free lowering" was done away with.
Instead of lowering the back, why not lifting the front? god i love lifted fords, anyways the dealer will do the work for you in whatever you choose. good luck
