You can get power door locks installed at just about any car alarm shop. They will install the actuators as part of a keyless entry system. As for the windows, I'm wondering the same thing. I plan on checking with Ford parts department to see if I can buy the motor and the track/gear assembly. Don't know where I'm gonna get the switches from though. Probably have to fabricate my own.
I placed an order for the kit this afternoon, and just got a call from the company. It turns out that they weren't aware that the 04 Reg Cabs also have 4 doors. As such the kit will NOT fit our trucks. The guy told me that it is probably going to be a year before they have a kit out that will fit. Sorry for passing the bum info earlier. Gonna go start my search again.
the windows don't bother me that much but i do get tired of reaching all the way over and opening the passenger side door for someone. If that window kit worked that would be great. As for the info on the power locks, THANKS, i did not know that the local car alarm shop would do that. I just figured i would have to buy a kit and have it put in at a auto shop somewhere.
If any of you guys find a kit to convert to power windows, please post it in here......
I agree - sucks to reach over.........
I'm going to call the company that built the kit I tried to order directly. After looking into it some more, it turns out that the company I tried to order from is just the distributor. So I'll give the manufacturer a call on Tuesday and see what the deal is.
Has anyone tried to buy the regulator and motor from Ford Parts? I've had to replace them in my old Isuzu and it was a piece of cake, and not that expensive. Maybe I'll try Ford on Tuesday.
