man this truck rock's.
talk as bad about these new fords as you want, but a few goodies and your race ready.
i have a 2004, F-350, 4x4, C C, 6.0L, dually, lariat, factory stuff. ive done, 4" HOG performance system, this is complete 4" down pipe and T-304 stainless. quality and love the sound i wanted the perfomance muffler,thanks HOG. next the EDGE JUICE with ATTITUDE, a true performance modification and change while you drive(thats cool).
all i need now is the AFE proguard 7 air system, just looking for the good price!
also installed the procomp 6" lift, edelbrock extreme travel shocks. for tires went with goodyear mtr's 315-75R-16 on stock rims, on the rears added a 2.5" billet spacer.

I was told that the new AIS filter in the 6.0 was not worth changing out. I am torn between the Diablo tuner and the Edge juice and attitude.
Is the HOG purely for sound or does exhaust improve performance on the PSD?

ANY exhaust improvement will improve the performance AND mileage...
think of it as simple as this...
the burnt gases can't be pushed out of the little stock downpipe fast enough to let more charge in to generate more power...
with a 3.5 or 4" downpipe (which looks like the Grand Canyon compared to the crushed stock dp) the gases can be evacuated MUCH faster...
lowering EGT's, increasing power, and improving fuel economy thru more effeciency...
But do look into the Motorhaven group buy... they had a GREAT price on a turbo back...
