does anyone have the banks kit on their 04 5.4 if so how is the sound and performance???

 

I called banks about their exhaust kit and i was told that it has a deep bear tone to it and i would get 10hp/15torque out of it. Don't know if that helps. cost for me was 491 shipped.

 

I Just bought the Banks Monster Exhaust today for my SCAB STX. I'll have to tell you how it works out when it arrives.

It was prototyped on my Scab 5.4 a while back.... Bottom end is lost(big diameter increase over stock) and gas mileage decreases from having to put your foot in it more... sounds great though... the drop in airfilter banks is going to start carrying for it or may already carry gave me an extra 1.5 mpg...

 

Well Just got the Exhaust system today and installed it myself in the parking lot. IT"S AWSOME!!!! HUGE difference from stock. i swear i have no clue what ford was thinking when they made their muffler. The exhaust sounds great. I drove around for like an hour, hearing that sound just makes me what keep flooring it. The only problem i had was the rear hanger didn't line up. GREAT SYSTEM!!

 

sound is one thing how is the power??

 

It's only supposed to give about 10hp but the truck feels less restricted. It feels like there is an increase in power but not a whole lot. It will deffinitly take more to get it where i want it.

Is the 5" tip interfering with the rocker, or is it just the picture?

 

Just the picture. It's not interfering at all. It's a little close thought cause i had a little trouble with the rear hanger so i had to bend it a little bit. I put it in a little quick so that's probably why i had problems with it.

 

looks like a sweet setup, have been thinking that's the system i want for my truck.
