Holley carb question

I have a 4-bbl Holley carb. & I was wondering what its cfm capacity was. Here are the markings on the throat:
LIST 8007
1078

and near is a number: 4208.

I was wondering if I could use this on a 240 6-cyl equipped w. an Offenhauser
intake & split exhaust headers

re:carb question

According to the Holley website a list 8007 carb is a 4160 series carb rated at 390 CFM. That should be well sized for your 240.

Hello "5",
I am about to change over the intake on my 6 and was wondering how you like the Holley 390 on the Offy. Do you think a 500-600cfm 4 barrel would be better than the 390cfm?

Talking A Holly 390 cfm on an Offy- equipped 240 (3.9l)

I'm still working on fitting the original air cleaner to this large-throated carb. I would use an aircleaner meant to fit this new carb., except this is in a van so space is an issue.

I'm close; have all of the linkages hooked up but have yet to hook up the vacuum advance (no problem), fuel line (a bit of a problem) and pcv line (more of a problem; read-doghouse).

I would go with a larger CFM, if you do the math a 390 is just on the limit and not much room for change. My 390 works well and can be modified to do more. The linkage is not a problem if you find a cable bracket. The carb has a port for PCV valve and I purchased a metal fuel line 40 inches and bent the line to come the front of the valve cover the across then at a 45* to the back down and the toward the carb inlet. I used an inline clear filter with rubber hoses! Works great!
