Rustproofing chrome side step tubes
I am planning to have my truck rustproofed soon...have had good luck with the KROWN liquid injection inside all the fenders etc. on previous vehicles.
A friend of mine has a 97 with the chrome steps on the sides completely rusted out.
Mine has black plastic caps on the ends of the chrome step tubes.......can these caps be removed and will I find a hollow tube inside that the rustproofing can be injected into, or am I asking for trouble if I pry off the end caps?? Also, should they be polished or waxed periodically and is there a good product for this?
