Somewhere around 116 I think. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. But either way its pretty low, no eye popping HP numbers, but thats not what this motor was built for.
my 84 300-6 is rated about 126 horsepower and about 240 ft/lb of torque...not sure what rpms that's rated at, but that's the numbers i got outta my buddy's dad's engine book...
my 93 is rated 145hp@2800 rpm and 265 ftlb of Torque around 1800rpm.
The Torque band is fairly FLAT and drops off at about 2900-3100 depending on the year. After about 3100 all you're doing with the engine is making NOISE and causing un-necessary wear.
Remember this engine is a LONG STROKE, SLOW SPEED "WORK" ENGINE. Think FARM TRACTOR! That's why it has all the industrial applications.
Plus I enjoy the heck out of pulling the Local Coast Guard Auxiliary Commander, his CH*** P/U, boat trailer, and 24' Bayliner out of the water, all with my little itty bitty 6 in 2WD. Drives him absolutely crazier than a RABID SQUIRREL.
