FORD Bronco W/ Explorer package???

I posted this in the Bronco forum a couple day's ago and got no responce. I figure there are more 78-79 head's here to answer.

Does anyone know if FORD produced a 79 Bronco with the Explorer package? I have only seen them as high as the Ranger XLT.

According to the factory brochures, no Explorer option was offered.

I thought Ranger XLT is the "highest", most expensive, most luxurious package offered at that time - and Explorer was just over the Custom base model? Am I wrong?

As far as I know ford never made a full size bronco explorer package. I think all the explorer package is some pinstripes and spoke wheels any way. I think there is a picture of a 79 bronco with the Ranger Lariat package in the gallery.

78-79 broncos didn't get the Lariat package either. dealers may have installed them but not from the factory.

There is a Bronco Explorer XLT on ebay for sale. It is very clean but I did not think there was an explorer option for the Bronco

They offered an Explorer package on the mid 70s style Broncos, but not on the full-size pickup style 78-79 Broncos.
