I didn't know, but was thinking usually you don't need one when you install one on a regular pickup truck. The plow will pull the electrical system down when you use it, but it's just for short bursts of high amperage that even the largest alternator could not handle. It's going to be the wiring and the battery that will take the brunt of the load with a blade installed.

That makes sense to me. I'm not gonna put on a plow.Don't wanna thrash it just yet.
My buddies dad had told me that he thought it had a h.o.alt. I just wanted to know for bragging rights.
