glow plugs
just want to know how to check the glow plugs on the powerstroke. i assume you can pull the electrical connector apart at the valvecover and use a multimeter. if i remember right there are three contacts at each lead, which one is which?

If you have the engine with one connecter on each head cover gasket, the 4 outboard pins, that is the first 2 and the last 2 are the glow plug terminals. If you have 2 plugins on each head cover gasket, the 2 outermost terminals on each plugin are the glow plug terminals. Just unplug the harness and check the appropriate terminals to ground with a multimeter or a dead light.
