New truck time
I am going to sale my 97 F150 4X4 and will be ready for a new truck. I choices are down to the F150 4X4 FXR or the Toyota Tundra 4X4 4 door. My biggest concern is reliabitly. I plan to keep my truck for 8 or more years. For those of you that own the 2004 F150, do you feel it has what it takes. Any pre purchase feedback would be great.

My opinion would be that this is a quality built truck and would have no problems standing the tests of time - but since you say you are considering the Tundra all I would say is you might be getting more truck then you need in the Ford (not necessarily a bad thing as you will find uses for it), or you may be getting to little truck out of the Tundra (not a good thing).
I am a big fan of Toyota's - had several 4-Runners before I went to the F150's and while I trust the Tundra as a great truck it just wasn't in the same class as the 150 so I didn't even consider it.
I think they will both stand the test of time but would just recommend making sure that you buy the right truck for what you use it for.
