I'm assuming this is a bronco II by the engine size? Try titleing a thread "2.9 valve adj." or something simular and listing it in the BRONCO II forum.IF its not a RANGER, it may get overlooked here. Good luck!

Cylinder at TDC on compression stroke, back off the adjuster untill there is slack, then tighten until contact, then 1.75 turns. The Ford book lists 1.5 but 1.75 is the norm, Ford may have even put out a TSB on this change.
