OK, long story short. Installed a Rancho 1 1/2 to 2" front leveling kit on my 94 Bronco. Actual lift was about 2 1/4" and camber hopelessly off. Installed adjustable camber bushings but no dice. Still out maybe 4 degrees. Bit the bullet and bought the expensive Tuff Country drop mount brackets where the TTB arms mount in the center of truck. Sweet! Very well built brackets, the install was fairly easy and my truck isn't bowlegged anymore. Simple to adjust a bunch of camber now. But.......... I'm still all the way adjusted out to get the wheels straight. Not a big shock as this is the same bracket Tuff Country sells with their 2 1/2 lift kit.
Eventually the springs will fatigue and I'll be out a bit again. Too much time and money spent to accept this. I need to lift the truck up just a bit more to get in the middle of the adjustment range on the drop brackets. I could do it with camber bushing adjustments/changes but that's a pain in the ****.
My question finally. Can I stack the little steel washers under the front coils and grab another half inch or so lift? Is it safe? I don't remember if the stock bolt is long enough? Any other suggestiooons welcomed for just a little more lift.
Im not familiar with the Rancho leveling kit as to whether it is new springs or just coil spacers. On eBay they sell a pair of High Lift front coil springs for the Bronco for $102 (they have 1 1/2" of lift). You may consider these high lift coils, then if you still need more lift put on the rancho leveling kit or some other type of coil spacer. hope this helps.
Thanks. Rancho kit is new springs with no spacers. I just a little over 2 inch lift after break-in. Just looking for another half inch lift to put the camber more toward the middle of the adjustable range I have now.
I have a 1989 that I took the front coils from a F-250 ext. cab and oversize Rancho shocks to get the extra clearance I needed to run 35's with a 3in. body lift. Perfectly level.
