I don't think the 8 inches they lower is going to help considering the superbeast's height and hers.... Hmm, how about something like they use for jets, a pole with a couple of steps on it that you could rig to retract/fold up ...

Could be cool....or ridiculous....later
(Couldn't get the thing to look right, had to put in periods, but you get what I mean...)
Bling bling! I saw these on that giant Ford with the traxx the other night on Monster Garage. You know you're a serious offroader when you need a powered step to get into your rig. Maybe we could rig it up with knives so when someone tries to break into your truck you push a button and it stabs them in the leg.
Don't feel bad Pro, my girl keeps asking me to install steps and I don't even have a lift! I told her no but that I'd consider a giant trampoline or perhaps a circus canon.
Even with my high tech habits I can't see buying a pair of those. I'm considering the good old chain step when I lift the truck . . . chromed chain of course.
ya'll are lucky my woman makes me get on all fours and let her use me as a step. although she did tell me not to get the step that they look gay (that's my girl)
my girl wont ride in the ford period now that the running boards are off. im thinking about installing an elevator though so she can get in. anyone done this before? i need some pointers. the elevator will of course have a chandaleir and a minibar to make the ride up easier as my truck is only stock
How 'bout the fold down steps made for campers and motorhomes? They'd look hokey on a late model truck, but maybe on an early model they wouldn't look too bad.
SoCal,
i've thought about that before b/c we have a 40' Overland motorhome sitting in the drive and i have been tempted to borrow some parts (air bags, air system, air horn, CAT 943 diesel engine, rear end, steps, etc) but anywho i went looking into prices and they are unreasonably expensive! like $300 for the steps....gotta buy the mount and wiring kit separate!
Yea, but what would be do without them? Just think of all the lotion we'd have to buy.
Yea, I'm not ******* steps like that really, but they sure aren't for me. I actually do have some small steps already on the truck, and they do the job.
