5.4v8 to 6.8v10 in a SD

5.4v8 to 6.8v10 in a SD
Does anyone know what it would take to but a 6.8v10 in a 99 SD that has a 5.4 now? The extra power would be nice and I already get terible mileage so what would it hurt?

A quick guess because I have not delt with either motor....
Engine mounts and perches as well as tranny and electronics. Considering the costs and the newness of your truck, I would sell and buy new

I hope to get the parts (engine,wiring harness,mounts, etc) from a wrecked V10 truck. I think the tranny is the same but I'll check with a tranny shop bud of mine. I looked for a V10 before I baught mine and their where none in my area. I really don't need the V10 but it would be way cool.
