cool down procedures

i know that after running my truck on the freeway for a while, i let her cool down for about 5 minutes when i get to my destination. here is my question:
what if my destination is 5 or more minutes from the freeway and i subject my truck to normal, city driving, is this enough of a cool down? thanks
just wondering.

Are you turbo'd? That's about the only good reason for an extended cool down. If you drive slowly for a while that's probably good enough. The only time I'd worry about cooling down is when I was hill pulling and came to a quick stop.
