Good Vibes?

As mentioned in another post, my truck went in for service for the Shudder, rear end (373ls) Clunck, and 41-55mph vibration. Here is a scaled down version of report.

a) Checked for vibration concern 40-55mph. Verified concern. Checked oasis 212 585 457. Found TSB 04-1-6 for this concern. Raised vehicle and lubed splines with teflon grease. Road test, vibration still present. Installed EVA and roadtest, had around 10hz and 30 hz readings. Checked Oasis, found TSB 04-3-3 for this concern. Installed vibration dampner.

Customer says there is a shudder while on accel when climbing hills. Tested, could not verify customer concern.

1785 check for shudder on accel when climbing hills. Could not verify concern. Did verify shudder on Accel and shudder when making sharp turns at low speeds. Checked OASIS, found SSM#17466 for this concern. Found concern coming from rear axle area. Removed rear axles and Diff carrier assy. Soaked clutch plates in blue friction modifier. Installed new clutch packs into the carrier and reinstall int O the vehicle. Recheck ring gear back lash and tooth pattern, OK. Reassemble rear diff and roadtest. Shudder on turns is gone. Did still feele shudder on accel.Removed rear driveline and inspected U-joints. Found is too stiff. Ordered new rear driveline. Istalled new driveline and shop foreman test drove. Verified shudder on accel. Worse up hills, by the shop foreman. Re-checked by shop foreman. Seems fine at this time.

I hope this is not too much info. My dealership has been great. They did not bat an eye giving me a loaner and chasing the problems. Overall I am satisfied with the results. It does still have a very slight vibration which to the unknowing would likley not be noticed. It did get rid of the "lug" that I mentioned. The work that was done has improved everything. It is by no stretch perfect. I gave up on the idea of "perect". I think "perfect" is not a possibility on any vehicle new or old. IMO.
